The use of audio connections via cinch – thus necessarily unbalanced – should be avoided as far as possible. This is because the shield of the connection line, which is actually supposed to keep interference away from the signal, becomes part of the signal transmission. Current flows in a circle and the screen takes on the task of the return conductor. In the case of a balanced connection, on the other hand, there is an extra wire inside the shielded cable. That is why all of our devices have balanced connections via XLR and you do not need anything else within an ACOUSENCE system. Hence, Cinch is only an option in case it is unavoidable for compatibility reasons.
