Junko Inada is currently one of the most respected pianists in Japan and is admired for her “not typically Japanese dynamics”. Educated mostly in France, she had one of her most important successes at the time at the RachmaninovInternational Music Competition in Moscow. Her greatness as an interpreter of Rachmaninov, her imposing virtuosity, great sound and her subtle yet glorious art of piano playing is shown on her new album: the beautiful Variations on a theme by Corelli, op. 42, the delicate Vocalise, op. 34 No. 14 and the noble sound world of the 13 Préludes op. 32.
